Water, Ink and Glass
It was the goal of our project to give a new perspective to an everyday object.
By placing the chosen object out of its usual context, we achieved an abstract feeling and gave the item a new meaning at the same time. Playing with the combination of water, glass and light we created an optical illusion, which deceives the sense of the observer.
The observer looks at the work from one particular perspective, but through the created illusion the object is duplicated and fragmented in different pieces, which come together in one photograph. The lines give the impression that the photograph was put together from multiple photographs, however it was taken in one shot.
